(2 day workshop)

Fun and educational: Extra cute owls – glass fusing workshop

In this class each student will create 2 “Extra cute owls”

The size of each owl will be around 7″ tall – with the stand they measure around 18″ to 20″.

We will go through the process of glass cutting, learn about powders, melt glass stringers and explore different options of color combinations. Everything will be explained step by step, it’s easy to follow for beginner glass fusers.

The projects will be fired after the 2nd day of the workshop. Around 2-3 weeks after finishing the workshop the projects will be  ready for pick up. They will be safely glued onto a glass base (ready to go into your garden or flower pot). If you wish you could opt for a hook instead to turn this owl into a sun catcher.

Material, use of tools and glass fusings are included. A small snack will be provided. $110/per student, taxes are included. (pre-registration please)

Class limit is 6 students.
The date of the class might be postponed if less than 4 students register.

(2 day workshop)

Fun and educational: fused glass workshops

The finished project is a large, sturdy glass heart for the garden. To display your art I will organize a handmade stand (by John Czegledi) that will safely ground your work.  The design shown is an example. You can create your own, using a multitude of available colours. Sheet glass, frit, stringers, all tools, two firings, the handmade metal stand, a small snack and soft drinks will be provided in this class. The project will be fired after the weekend workshop and ready for pick up around 3 weeks after the class. The thickness of the glass will be more than usual – thus makes it fairly heavy.

The first day of this class will be used to create one of a kind sheet glass with your own pattern and palette of colours. Day two will incorporate this glass and a multitude of other options. This class is suitable for beginners, returning glass fusers or stained glass artists.

From start to finish I will guide every student through the process.

$175/per student. (pre-registration please)
