(2 day workshop)

In this glass fusing workshop each student will create a rectangular shaped piece. The piece can be hung on the wall (flat) or shaped into a plate via a second fusing.

The size of the plate is approximately 4.75″ x 17″.

We will go through the process of glass cutting, learn about powders, possibly melt glass stringers and explore different options of color combinations. Everything will be explained step by step, it’s easy to follow for beginner glass fusers.

The project will be fired once or twice after the 2nd day of the workshop. The first firing is to fuse the glass into one piece. The second firing is to give the bowl the shape (slumping). If you choose to use the piece as wall art it will stay flat and I will provide a way to hang it.

Around 3 weeks after finishing the workshop the project will be ready for pick up.

As an additional option – instead of the long shape you might like to create a square plate 9″ x 9″. Just let me know before the class starts and it will be possible to switch from long plate to square plate.

$200/per student, taxes are included.

Up to 6 students get to join the fun.
The date of the class might be postponed if less than 4 students register.
